DIY DRESS INFO & MODIFICATIONS
This is MCCALL #7741 and I love this pattern. The pattern is rather simple, there is a lot of hemming becuase of the double flounce but once you get that done its pretty simple. I love the elastic waist casing, the length and the flounce.
I used a rayon print I picked up at JOANN.COM I tried finding it online but had no luck. I am sure you can find it in stores. It is so lightweigth and moves well.

MORE PROJECTS!

For everyday shoes, skechers reviews told me more than a product page ever could once I started comparing comfort against how the pair would actually hold up over regular use. Sewing projects have made me fussier about fit and construction in general, even with things I am not making myself. I still like a clean design, but that never settles the decision for me anymore. What matters is whether the item still feels right after long days, repeat wear, and the kind of ordinary use that no studio photo can really show. That is the part I try to picture before buying.
