DIY PINK LINEN PANTS AND CAMI
HI DARLINGS! If you missed the start of my #DIYPINKCOLLECTION, you could see that first post HERE. This second look is my favorite so far. I love my DIY pink linen pants! I made them before HERE in a men’s suiting fabric. The patterns and fabric info are below.
Since starting my pink collection, ideas I have been obsessed with color coordinating ideas that are dancing around in my head. I honestly did not think I would enjoy it this much. I love that it all looks so pretty to look at when I hang up piece by piece as I finish. I also really enjoy that my thread and serger thread doesn’t change, LOL no having to switch our threads to match whatever I am sewing next because it is all pink!
What I think I am enjoying most is that I will have many coordinating options in my wardrobe. I was planning on doing a post, and maybe a mini-course on how I manage my wardrobe and what are must have’s for me, would you be interested in that?
Okay enough about that, scroll down to see pics of my awesome DIY pink linen pants and DIY camisole and to read about my pattern, fabric and modifications.
DIY PINK LINEN PANTS PATTERN & MODIFICATIONS
I made the same modifications as previously posted about HERE. The pants pattern is my SIMPLICITY 8301 pattern, it has a SEW-ALONG VIDEO for you to watch if you have the pattern. If you want to make the pants without the bib just skip the bib part because the pants are fully finished before we attach the bib so its a super easy step to skip. The only modification I made was to slim the pant legs down starting from the hip line. My pink linen fabric is from THE FABRIC STORE they have the most amazing linens to choose from.
DIY CAMISOLE PATTERN
I love this camisole pattern by TRUE BIAS. It’s the perfect stash buster so when I have just a yard or so left of fabric I put it in a “future cami” basket. This is the second time I have made this camisole and trust me I plan to have a whole wardrobe full of them, lol. It comes together so quickly, and it’s a wardrobe staple. I made the first one in velvet which you can see HERE. My cami fabric is from JOANN FABRIC it’s just a poly from their special occasion section.
STYLED IT
I can’t tell you how much I love the pink shades combo in this look. I kept it all pretty simple with my favorite CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN nude shoes and some gold jewelry I picked up a while ago at H&M. I added the gold belt from TARGET which added so much to the look. I wore my Tom Ford sunnies which I can safely say are my all time favorite.
