DIY JONI JUMPSUIT IN A STRIPED ORGANIC KNIT
HI DARLINGS! Well I am back at the gym and my stiff neck is all better, I even did pilates with my girlfriend yesterday. Today, however, is filled with busy work and some sewing deadlines. I am however super excited about this DIY JONI JUMPSUIT by FRIDAY PATTERN CO. I had not used a pdf pattern from them before but I loved this jumpsuit when I saw it on IG and had to make it. The back is especially great!
This is number #2 of my #DIYDENIMBLUECOLLECTION and I love it! Pattern details, review and fabric info are below. If you have not checked out my previous posts on the #DIYDENIMBLUECOLLECTION you can follow HERE.
I have already made most of the pieces for this collection already and next up is a new MCCALL JUMPSUIT PATTERN, lol what can I say I am a jumpsuit kinda girl.
DIY JONI JUMPSUIT PATTERN INFO AND MODIFICATIONS
This jumpsuit pdf pattern was super quick to print and tape together. I know so many people who don’t like printing and taping but honestly, it took me less than 10 minutes to do it. It sews up really quickly too which is a plus. I did make one change, I wanted to do a chevron pattern for the bodice so I added a seam line to the center front, positioned my pattern piece on the bias. I like the contrast between the verticle stripes and the chevron. I also did the chevron on the back.
The DIY JONI JUMPSUIT can be purchased HERE. I will say that according to the finished garment measurements I cut the large bottom and medium top but after fitting I could have cut a medium bottom and small top so cut a size smaller especially since its designed for a knit.
The fabric I decided on was an ORGANIC STRIPED KNIT from MICHAEL LEVINE, you can get it HERE.
