PINK LEMONADE PANTS AND CAMI USING MCCALL 7982

LEARN TO SEW

HI DARLINGS! Happy Wednesday, I hope you are enjoy the week so far. I am feeling pretty great and in this colorful ensemble feeling even better. My daughter saw me photographing and said “mom you look so cute, like pink lemonade” so that is the look of the day, lol.

ABOUT THE PANTS

These amazing neon pink pants are from MCCALLS #7982 pattern which I am a big fan of right now. The pattern is forgiving because it has a good amount of ease in the hips and the pleats also lend themselves to an easy fit. I will however say that where the waistband sits on the body is not very flattering especially because of the front yoke so I slashed and spread about 1″ to bring the waistband up to the smallest part of my waist which I think gives the pants a better silhouette. The fabric is a lightweight wool suiting in neon that has been in my stash for a long time.

ABOUT THE CAMI

Ok I have been a huge supporter of THE OGDEN CAMI but I only had 3/4 of a yard of this neon yellow fabric that I picked up in a remnant bucket at Joann. I also couldn’t find my pdf that I had already printed and taped together so instead I grabbed a store bought cami and rubbed it off, it literally took me 20 min to make.
