DIY SILK KIMONO USING VOGUE 1610

HI DARLINGS! I had the most amazing time yesterday. I went wedding dress shopping with my friend Cristina and I couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was. If you follow me on IG you may have seen my appointment and some of the fun moments we had, I can’t wait until my wedding day I am going to look amazing! LOL. It’s so funny because everyone keeps asking me why I am not making my dress and although I understand why they ask I don’t want my wedding to feel like a project, I want to try on dresses, then design it but I don’t want to stress myself out beading and embellishing and sewing that beast of a dress. If I do make something it may be my reception dress but we will see.

Ok, so on to this amazing VOGUE pattern! I love this Kimono and I plan to make it again in a bright color. It makes a great dress which is how I choose to wear it. I love that I can wear it open or obviously as a dress. It’s also such a quick sew. I decided to use bias binding on my seams and around my pockets, It’s a beautiful finish. Details below. OH! Before I forget I made a new OBI BELT TUTORIAL so if you missed check it out on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL or scroll to the bottom.
