DIY JACKET USING SIMPLICITY 8558 PATTERN

HI DARLINGS! If you guys can’t tell, I love this SIMPLICITY 8558 pattern. I have made this jacket three times (HERE and HERE) including this new modified one. Although I love the pattern as is, I decided to modify it into an ankle length jacket. Being able to wear a simple tee and jeans with a long jacket or cardigan is my favorite everyday look. Getting the most out of your patterns should always be a goal. I’m always looking for ways to make more looks from one pattern. This pattern is an easy sew, it’s unlined, and it can be made from a ton of different fabrics. You can get the pattern at your local JOANN, WALMART or ONLINE.

MODIFICATIONS SIMPLICITY 8558 pattern: I added length, made belt loops, created a belt and added stitching lines for interest and to add weight to the belt.
