DIY BUTTON UP DRESS AND PANTS PATTERN REVIEWS
HI DARLINGS! I am feeling myself in these two pieces and man am I loving it. I love when you make something and it comes out exactly how you imagined in your head. I couldnt wait to rock this look and I think I may have found a new “uniform” aside from my jeans and tee’s. This is a great look to dress up or down.
PATTERN REVIEW
This is a double pattern review because I used BURDA 6770 for the PANTS and VOGUE 9371 for the SHIRTDRESS. Let me start with the pants, I made VIEW B and added the drawstring to the middle row of the waistband. The pants are super easy and sew up really fast. I ended up cutting a size 14 but I think next time I am going to go up a size because I want a baggier look with elastic at the hem. These, however, are perfect!
The SHIRTDRESS is VIEW D. I loved the dropped shoulder, wide sleeves, and side slits. It’s the perfect shirt for the look I was going for, I cut a size 10 and it fits great open or closed. This is a quick sew and if you made a button up shirt this will be a breeze. I also really love the wide tie belt, I can wear this so many ways and that is always a bonus. I have two pieces that work great together and alone. The fabric is a zebra crepe from MOOD FABRICS, I tried finding it online but couldn’t. Sorry!
STYLE IT
I rocked this look with my FREE PEOPLE BRALETTE, my GUCCI sunnies, and my nude suede STEVE MADDEN HEELS.
