Hi Darlings! Happy Thursday. I love these pictures so much, it looks so soft and pink lol! This is the perfect holiday party look for chilly nights. I know we often think of tulle for spring and summer but why not in the winter with a Cable Knit Pink Sweater? So here is my take on how to wear tulle in the fall/winter months…

1. Wear heavy tights underneath (like sweater tights or leggings)

2. Wear it with tall boots or booties or a close toe pump

3. Pair it with a  chunky sweater or rock it with a blazer or jacket (as shown today on TiekoandMimi.com)

I tried on a tulle skirt similar to this one during the summer but they wanted $59 for it and I knew I could get some inexpensive tulle and use THIS SIMPLICITY PATTERN #1427  to make my own…so I did. I also made it in black (as shown today on TiekoandMimi.com) check out this awesome sweater look and pattern review below…

Pattern Description: Simplicity #1427 Misses Tulle Skirts Various Lengths

Pattern Sizing: I cut the 6

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes the instructions were clear and easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I always love tulle skirts so when I saw Simplicity release this pattern earlier this year I knew I would be making it.

Fabric Used: Tulle (HERE)

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The only thing I did different was use less tulle. I used about 1 yard less because I didn’t want it as full as the pattern.

Would you sew it again? I already made it in black (shown HERE) so probably not. I do however recommend this pattern.
