DIY Track Pants & Crop Top + Pattern Review V8909

I am so pumped today (maybe I had too much coffee) but either way I am just feeling excited and blessed and ready to take on the world, lol!
Let’s Talk OOTD: The pants pattern is V8909 View B. This pattern is FANTASTIC! It has just the right amount of ease, the fit is great and the style is just what I was looking for. I also really love the fact that I can wear these dressed up or down. I have reviewed the pants pattern below for you and plan to make them in leather soon. The top is self drafted because I couldn’t find a pattern that I could easily manipulate, so it just seemed easier to make it from scratch. The top is a high/low crop which is also going to be a future tutorial.

Fabric Used: I used a stable double knit which I think is perfect for this pattern. There are many great colors HERE and use the coupon dolls “MIMI10”
Pattern Sizing: I cut the small
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope when you were done? Yep
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, the pants come together rather quickly. The only think that takes a little time if you are new to sewing is making the stitching lines for the elastic casing and maybe the buttonholes for the drawstring.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked everything. I was a little suspect because sometimes these patterns look like they will look good but are drafted really big or without style details but this one is a winner for me and will stay in rotation.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did not do the buttonholes for the drawstring because I knew I wanted a flat front so I just folded over, created the casing and inserted my elastics.
Would you sew it again? Yes. I plan to make them in leather and sequin 😉
Would you recommend it to others? Most certainly!
